Hopeful Hearts Therapeutic Riding provides safe, fun instruction with horses, both on horseback and on the ground, with numerous volunteers and PATH certified instructors.
What is PATH?
The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International promotes safety and optimal outcomes in equine-assisted activities and therapies for individuals with special needs.
PATH is a global authority, resource and advocate for equine-assisted activities and therapies and the equines in this work that inspire and enrich the human spirit, with more than 850 member centers and nearly 7,600 individual members in countries all over the world, who help and support more than 54,000 men, women and children with special needs each year through a variety of equine-assisted activities and therapies programs.

What Can I Expect from "Hopeful Hearts" Instruction?
Horseback therapy promotes core strength, fine motor control, speech development, social and coping skills. The improvements are sometimes gradual, other times surprisingly swift, but always incredibly exciting.
An evaluation by a PATH instructor is conducted to determine ability and lesson possibilities, followed by consultation with the parent or adult student. Lessons will be scheduled, planned and conducted with instructors and, if considered necessary, volunteers to assist the student and instructor. As goals are achieved, new ones will be set.
